Cooking with Kids and KidZui

Checkout the kids' website Cooking with Monkey

Who knew monkeys love grilled cheese?

My son is almost three years old but he LOVES to help Mama in the kitchen. Okay, what kid doesn’t love it? They get to measure, and pour, and dump, and mix. It’s like playing in the sandbox but better because they can experience all of the different tastes, scents, textures, colors, and temperatures. Much better than plain ol’ dirt!

Whether you have a little one who wants to “help” in the kitchen or you have an aspiring Emeril in your home, there are plenty of websites to give you some ideas for cooking with kids. The KidZui browser has the best kids’ cooking sites already “baked in” so you don’t have to search on your own. Here are some of my faves:

  • Cooking with Monkey – puts a very cute spin on traditional recipes. There are pictures of every step with the monkey front and center.
  • Junior Chefs of America – offers hundreds of recipes and showcases cooking demonstrations (by kids for kids).
  • Cook’s Thesaurus – provides pictures, descriptions, and suggested substitutions for those unusual ingredients (great for parents, too).
  • Cafe Zoom – has a ton of fun recipes submitted by kids like a Burger & Fries Cake, Peanut Butter Bees, Lasagna Roll Ups, and more.
  • Cooking Games – cook up some fun in the virtual world with TONS of cooking games in KidZui. Kids can sling burgers, make ice cream cones, decorate cupcakes, and more.

So get cooking! Sit down at the computer with your kids tonight and let KidZui help you find some fantastic creations while you also create some lifetime memories. What are YOUR favorites?

Enjoy!

But one thing, Club Penguin is a VERY kid safe website! If you won’t allow my blog, at least allow Club Penguin. Here is the url: http://www.clubpenguin.com/ It is a very educational, fun webiste. You learn computor skills, money skills, and how to read better! They give hundreds of thousand of dollars to charities each year, through a thing called “Coins for Change”. Where kids will give some of their coins (the Club Penguin currency) and give money to worthy causes like; Kids in need, Enviorment Changes and other things year to year. The parents can change things, so that your kid can go on at certain times. There is a way to chat on Club Penguin but, if you don’t want to, your child won’t be able to talk. Just have a guide of words he can use. Even though CP (Club Penguin) is free, for a small monthly fee, you can get a “membership”. Which you can do much more with, but here is the page so you can read it: http://www.clubpenguin.com/membership/ I love CP, it’s a GREAT webisite. Please, check it out. Once again, have a good night.

We couldn’t agree with you more. Club Penguin is already in the KidZui browser and is a favorite website among many of our young KidZui users and the KidZui team too. :-)
