Our family has been singing a lot of holiday songs around the house. The sleigh bells have been ringing, albeit very loudly, especially when you have two 5 year olds in control of them.
In defense of my sanity, decided we needed some quieter sleigh bells with which to celebrate the holidays. This Christmas wand fits the bill.
Homemade Christmas Wand Materials:
- Ribbons in assorted colors
- Small jingle bells
- Wooden dowel rod
- Wood bead
Step 1: Place the wood dowel rod into the bead.
Step 2: Thread jingle bells onto a ribbon, making a small knot in between each one so they don’t bump into one another or tangle.
Step 3: Tie the ribbons onto the dowel rod.
It’s a simple, quick and inexpensive project that can provide hours of fun for the kids while they’re on holiday break. Have you made wands for your kids before? What about handmade stocking stuffers? I’d love to hear more about them in the comments below.
Happy holidays!
